Dr. David Crystal se graduava in anglese ab le "University College", de London, UK (BA, PhD), ille laborava in le "Survey of English Usage" (Sondage del uso de anglese), depois ille se jungeva al Departimento de Linguistica in Bangor (1963-5). Orator, Lector e Professor de Linguistica al "University of Reading" (1965-85), e plus tarde Professor Honorari de Linguistica in Bangor.
Dr. David Crystal ora labora ex su casa in Holyhear como scriptor/autor, orator e "broadcaster" super linguas e linguistica, e ille es editor del 'familia' Cambridge de encyclopaedias general.
