Historia del objecto	Deutsch: Das Recht zur Führung eines eigenen Wappens, einer eigenen Flagge und eines eigenen Dienstsiegels wurde der Gemeinde mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 09.12.1975 verliehen. Da es keine historischen Vorlagen wie Siegel oder Wappen gab, entschied sich die neue Gemeinde für ein modernes Wappen in Form eines "S", welches gleichseitig den Rursee darstellen soll. Die goldene Schildfarbe erinnert an die ehemaligen Jülicher Landesherren. English: The arms were granted on December 9, 1975. These modern arms show in unison the initial of the municipality and the contours of the Rur Dam. The colours are derived from the County, later Duchy of Jülich
