Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881, Thessaloniki, Grecia - 10 de novembre 1938, Istanbul) era le 1me presidente del Turchia inter 1923 e 1938. In consequentia del reformas institute per Atatürk, Turchia se transformava de un imperio plurinational, unificate solo per un monarcha qui esseva anque le leader religiose del musulmanes, in un republica laic cuje character nationalista, unitari e liberal esseva marcate per le Revolution Francese.
