Crosswiki image addition
modificarIf you think the image you added in iawiki [1] and other Wikipedias (e.g. eo, es, en) is representative of the item that is described in the articles then add it to wikidata. 91.9.109.229 21:44, 22 april 2016 (UTC)
- I usually do so when possible. With Wikidata it's not a simple matter whether a statemnent like P18 can be placed on an item when it's really about a part of that item. Federico Leva (BEIC) (discussion) 13:58, 24 april 2016 (UTC)
- If the image can not be considered representative for the item, then what policy does support adding it to the articles in the first place? Wikipedia articles are not galleries of images. 91.9.102.3 18:05, 24 april 2016 (UTC)
- Wikipedia articles typically cover an object and all subobjects thereof unless a separate article exists. For instance, a village and its main castle are both in scope for the same article. Do you know another topic that would be more important for that article? Federico Leva (BEIC) (discussion) 14:41, 26 april 2016 (UTC)
- I now see that your infobox actually uses P18, that's great! I've marked the template so that this feature is more discoverable: [2] [3]. Now I'll use Wikidata's P18 as useful for Wikipedia articles like this, then we'll see what to do if problems arise at Wikidata. Federico Leva (BEIC) (discussion) 14:52, 26 april 2016 (UTC)

1) Templates supporting Wikidata: Thanks for your work. All infoboxes in Wikipedia in interlingua use only data from Wikidata and the article title - I couldn't find a way to access the Wikidata label. See Wikipedia:Infobox. 85% of the articles have an infobox. 2) "Wikipedia articles typically cover an object and all subobjects thereof" - at most some subojects. But in this Wiki, if you want to add an image that is not representative for an article, look if you could create a new small article instead, add the infobox and make the connections in Wikidata. 3) Image inclusion only works for Wikipedias if they don't have any local files. 91.9.100.242 17:26, 26 april 2016 (UTC)
